The Project

August Media was retained by the Bisha Hotel for full service, recurring creative content services. For the first photoshoot we captured for them, we were given the directive of creating summer content, showcasing their famous rooftop pool and stylish, art-filled rooms. With Toronto’s diverse & patio-obsessed population in mind, we dreamt up a shoot to capture a glamorous girl making use of the hotel, its highly polished spaces and plentiful amenities. As a hot spot for locals and international travellers alike, this cool and sophisticated aesthetic was told in a visual story featuring poolside hangouts and morning after in-room dining.

The Moodboard

Turquoise water, bright white linens and the Toronto skyline infused our moodboard with its graphic colour palette. The Bisha Hotel is a location of high design and veneered luxury, while still maintaining and air of tongue-in-cheek playfulness. This duality guided the day’s concept, which lent itself to props ranging from fun summertime popsicles to glasses of crisp champagne. Styling prompts of all-black and all-white furthered the modern look and feel of the day.
