Professional Lifestyle Portraits
Mercedes Custodio booked a professional portrait session with us with the intention of capturing beautiful lifestyle images for her new-to-launch Instagram account. While she had seen many of her peers attempting to include more of their personal brand on their Instagram pages, Mercedes was determined to do so in a way that was of the highest caliber. She wanted polished, professional and fashionable photos to reflect her personal aesthetic, as well as that of her high end clientele. August Media planned her shoot from start to finish, sourcing a location, consulting on colour palette and fashion styling, scheduling the run of the day, and even advising on the rollout of the images on social media, following the delivery of the final shots. As a result, Mercedes has a stunning library of portraits, outfit shots, lifestyle details and branded content that can be used and reused as evergreen content, due to their seasonless nature.

As with every project, the initial moodboard served as a guiding source of inspiration in our shoot planning. In Mercedes’ case, three initial moodboards were created, with the intention of showcasing various looks and feels for her Instagram account that had yet to be created. We offered her a feminine moodboard that was heavy in blush tones, a more minimalistic black and white version, and a third that contained a mix of the two, with the addition of natural hues. Ultimately, Mercedes decided on the third, opting for a colourful look and feel that would stand the test of time, while not pigeonholing her content into too specific a look and feel. Using this moodboard, we sourced props and even a location that would reflect the chic, girl boss aesthetic we initially proposed.
